Indoor Gardening - Plants for Apartment Dwellers!
One thing that brings joy to our limited space in NYC is indoor gardening. A few potted plants in a living space can totally transform the room and have you breathing cleaner, healthier air. Even with minimal expertise and maintenance- you can start your indoor garden.
These are some of our personal favorites that literally anyone can grow indoors - no green thumb needed!
Aloe- We love this plant because it looks extravagant yet is very low maintenance! This plant loves a sunny window sill and only needs to be watered once a month.
Fiddle Leaf Fig- This guy is just a baby in a huge pot, but over time the trunk should get tall and thin! Fiddle Figs prefer filtered light, so keep it in a room with a window, and need to be watered about once a week.
Snake Plant- Low light? No worries- this plant doesn’t need much. Some filtered light a few hours a day will do the trick along with a weekly light watering.
Majesty Palm Tree- Taylor wanted to bring the tropical vibes to NYC, so he potted a palm in the bedroom. This plant likes frequent filtered light so keep it within 10 feet of a window and water once a week.
